RIAA vs. University of Nebraska Students

 Arrrr…

I’ve been following the news stories in our local OMAHA WORLD HERALD wherein the beloved Recording Industry Association of America has asked our even more beloved (”Go, Huskers!”) University of Nebraska officials to rat out our kids who have, allegedly, been downloading music.

By “our kids” I certainly don’t mean any of my kids, of course–all of whom are working, I’m sure, on that Boy Scout merit badge for honoring copyrights.

Fortunately, the NU officials aren’t just rolling over and squealing–matter of fact, they want to bill the RIAA for the time they’re wasting on trying to comb their records for evidence against the young Evil Doers.  Article here.

  2. You should download protest songs.

Bob Dylan or Woodie Guthrie. Pete Seeger.

  3. That would send them a message.

“We’ve got a code red. Some kid from Lincoln is downloading Bob Dylan songs.”
