End Of An Era: The Weasel Cashes Out…

Got an email from the Party Poker people yesterday morning telling me that the account I (allegedly) have with them has been inactive for more than 6 months and that I was going to be assessed a maintenance fee if I didn’t cash out.

I had already–for purely scientific research-type reasons–determined that I was unable to log on to play any real money games any more, now that online poker has been made illegal in the USA, so…”The Weasel” (my nom de poker) has withdrawn all money from the Party Poker coffers.  (Allegedly).

I’m still wondering how Congress–95% of whom are surely poker players, and the other 5% the ladies that bring us the sandwiches and beer while we’re playing–got that law passed so quickly and–why?  Poker was invented in America.  Poker tamed the Wild West!  Dammit–by banning online poker this means the terrorists have won!!

It is a sad, sad day for The Weasel…(allegedly).

  1. The same (allegedly) happened to me. I was not allowed to withdraw the last $11 dollars, AND I had logged in in the last six months. They still took my money with the fee–probably since they know there is absolutely nothing I will/can do about it.
