Actually the college JEOPARDY weeks start today at 4:30 p.m. on NBC–the World Herald mentions tomorrow, but maybe that’s when Hayley’s actual appearance begins.
In any event, I just got an email from the JEOPARDY folks pointing me to this site, which includes interviews of the students. Hayley is 3rd from the right, front row, wearing Husker Red.
You go, girl!
[Earlier blog entry about Hayley here]

Go here, if you want to see a video interview of her…

Looks like she drew Stanford and Yale men. We’ll see how smart she really is….

I think you’ll all be suprised.
This is a REALLY smart girl… I think it take even less effort for her to keep up with school and I’m not sure if I ever really saw her apply herself fully to something, because she never ever had to.
If anything, she’ll say something humorous or awkward onstage. This girl says strange things (though usually brilliantly funny).

I think I’d fare well in Jeopardy.

I hear wedding bells…

Back to the earlier blog dialogue between Jerry and Clark: Having attended the same high school, I believe we can consider Jerry’s betting on his grades an “urban legend,” if you will. Thanks for the memories, Clark.

Actually, I DID bet on the “straight A’s” thing–but it wasn’t for $100, it was $15 (which was probably about $100 in today’s dollars!)
Won my bet!

Do they echo in your ears as a reminder of how your fate is sealed?
Comment by Clint — April 30, 2007 @ 8:31 pm
No, Clint. I believe brett was referring your impending nuptials with Miss Husker McPotentpotables.
“Mr. Connery is in second place with negative $6,500.”
“Only on account of villainy!”

Hopefully she has brushed up on her Japan-US Relations.

The video didn’t work well for me, but if she’s availble then it’s on Clint. I have no problem with a chick who thinks she’s smarter than me, cuz I will never reveal my true smarter self. As in, “Baby I’m too dumb too cook, or I’m can’t figure out how to do laundry” She can have my babies…
Comment by Casey — May 1, 2007 @ 2:24 am
Children, I hope all of this “inside humor” is tasteful and positive.
Along those lines, if Clint and Hayley DO get married, we should sell their babies…

Hey–she did well!
Because of the high score she may qualify for one of the Wild Card slots and move one. We’ll see…
Comment by Jerry — May 1, 2007 @ 3:58 pm
But man did she ever mess up that 2nd to last double jeopardy clue daily double….left herself no chance to win with the 1400 wager.
If she is REALLY that smart, she must have planned on playing for the wildcard instead of for the win. We’ll see.
Comment by brett — May 1, 2007 @ 4:17 pm
Jerry, you should probably do more blogs on Hayley, apparently more people are interested in them than your investing advice
jk! you can quit erasing my name from your will… although by now its probably just a big smudge from you removing and adding me so much…
Comment by Cody — May 1, 2007 @ 5:45 pm
Yeah, I think Alex was even trying to “hint” to her that she should take BIG advantage of that “Daily Double”–which she did get right then.
Nonetheless, I was impressed with her. She has my permission to ask for Clint’s hand in marriage.
Man, that Stanford guy was smart.
Except that I can’t believe neither of those guys read ATLAS SHRUGGED, by Ayn Rand–Clint read it in 8th grade!

Ew.
Srsly ew.

Not Ayn Rand.
Love Ayn Rand.
