This time it is TELENOR ASA (TELN) –Norway’s tele-communications company.
Not one of my typical picks: this is a big multinational company.
I had taken close looks at Imperial Industries (IPII) and Tarragon Corp (TARR)–nice small companies with extremely low price-earnings ratios, but…I just can’t pull the trigger on them. They’re both connected to the home-building industry, which is not doing very well these days. Maybe next time…
I’m a little concerned about buying yet another European telecom company–I’d like to be more diversified. I bought an Austrian phone company a month or two ago. We’ll see.
On the other hand, I’m taking such a beating in the market yesterday and so far today, that I’m not sure I even want to listen to myself anymore, let alone have you pay attention…
Happy Investing!
